Build Day at the Franklinton Playhouse - 1/27/19

Please join Columbus Gives Back as we help the Franklinton Playhouse prepare for their latest theater production. After the final show of their current production, we'll help strike the set (take the set and lights down), and begin to build out the set for the next production, which will open in the coming weeks. In addition to set construction, volunteers may be asked to assist with other minor construction, painting, and/or cleaning tasks around the yoga studio and theater space.  What to Wear: Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little dirty or covered in paint. While we will spend the majority of the time indoors, we may need to be outside briefly to move set pieces and props, so please dress comfortably for the weather. Where: Franklinton Playhouse, 566 W Rich St, Columbus, OH 43215             Please use the entrance to the right of the garage door (look for the Art of Yoga sign) When: 4:30 - 7:00 PM, Sunday January 27 (work shift)            2:00 PM (optional matinee for volunteers) Event Leaders: Taylor (taylor@columbusgivesback.org)  Additional Information: For anyone interested, Red Herring Productions has generously agreed to reserve a block of complementary seats to their 2:00 PM matinee show for CGB volunteers. More information about the show can be found here. The acting is some of the finest in Columbus - you don't want to miss it! Parking:  Parking is available across the street in the gravel lot or on the street nearby About Red Herring Productions at the Franklinton Playhouse: Red Herring Productions established the Franklinton Playhouse out of its commitment to community and its dedication to Franklinton development. An 8000-square foot warehouse was converted into an 80-seat theater and studio space that hosts yoga, pilates, and dance classes, and displays artwork from local artists.  The Franklinton Playhouse serves as an incubator space for emerging performance artists with the intention of making Franklinton destination point, stimulating community growth and driving economic development in the surrounding neighborhood.
